Revoir — JH Engström — Journal & Akio Nagasawa Publishing — 2016

Engström returns to the negatives behind his influential 2004 book Trying to Dance and constructs a different book from the same period. Made between the mid-1990s and early 2000s across New York, Värmland and travels through Europe and the United States, the photographs move between urban life, landscape, bodies and private experience. Around two thirds were previously unpublished, newly scanned for this edition. Designed by Patric Leo, Revoir contains 174 colour and black-and-white images and was issued in 600 stamp-signed, numbered copies.
