Moriyama turns the mesh of women’s tights into an unstable field between body and abstraction. Photographed in Ikebukuro in 2011, these close, high-contrast images transform skin, fabric and pattern into dense graphic surfaces where eroticism repeatedly dissolves into line and texture. The book continues a motif first developed in How to Create a Beautiful Picture No. 6: Tights in Shimotakaido (1987). Hand-bound with a silkscreen-printed canvas cover, this first edition comprises 600 signed and numbered copies.
