Blue Water 1967–2022 — Sakiko Nomura — Little More — 2022
Thirty years of Nomura’s photography are condensed into a sequence of skin, empty rooms, glances, windows, fading flowers, bridges and night. Published for her major exhibition in her hometown of Shimonoseki, the book combines representative works with newly commissioned photographs, 75 images in total. Desire and absence repeatedly intersect, extending the tension between Eros and death that runs through her work. The volume also includes Sea Breeze, a short story written for the project by Shimonoseki-born novelist Shinya Tanaka.
